CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellation & Refund/Credit Policy
At Bookish Retreats, we are committed to providing a unique and enriching experience for all of our attendees. We understand that life can sometimes present unexpected circumstances. Please carefully review our cancellation and refund/credit policy below:

Cancellation & Credit Policy:​

More than 6 months before the retreat start date: You will receive a 50% credit toward a future retreat, valid for up to 12 months.

3 to 6 months before the retreat start date: You will receive a 25% credit toward a future retreat, valid for up to 12 months.

Less than 3 months before the retreat start date: No credit will be provided, as it becomes challenging to fill your spot. However, if we are able to fill your space from our waitlist, we may offer a 50% credit at our discretion.

The credit will be issued as a voucher to be used for future Bookish Retreats events. This credit must be used within 24 months from the date of cancellation and cannot be transferred to another person.

Payment Plan Cancellation Policy:
If you have paid less than 50% of your total retreat balance, you will no credit for the amount you have paid. If you have paid 50% of your plan, you will receive a 25% credit towards a future retreat. If you have paid in full, and your cancellation is more than 6 months before the retreat start date, you will receive a 50% credit of the total amount paid, applicable to a future retreat. Cancellations made within 6 months of the retreat are non-refundable and not eligible for credit, regardless of payment status.​ -
No Refunds or Exchanges:

Please note that there are no refunds or exchanges for Bookish Retreats events, regardless of the reason for cancellation. Once payment is made, it is considered final.

This policy applies to all attendees, and no exceptions will be made unless there is a legitimate emergency (outlined below).

Emergency Situations:

We understand that unexpected emergencies can arise. In the event of a personal or family emergency, please reach out to us directly at Danielle@bookisheventmi.com as soon as possible.

Each emergency situation will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and we will work with you to find a fair solution, which may include a full or partial refund or a rescheduling option. We are committed to making reasonable accommodations where possible, but please understand that such decisions will be made at our discretion.

Transferability:

If you are unable to attend the event but would like to transfer your spot to another person, please contact us. Transfers are not guaranteed and will require approval on a case-by-case basis.

Any transfer requests must be made at least 3 months prior to the event and are subject to availability.

Cancellation by Bookish Retreats:

In the rare event that Bookish Retreats must cancel an event, you will receive a full refund or credit, depending on your preference.

If an event is rescheduled, we will provide attendees with the option to attend the new event or receive a full refund.

​Missed Payment & Reinstatement Fees:
If a payment is missed and the payment process needs to be restarted, the attendee has five (5) days to make the payment. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of all amounts previously paid. Additionally, a $25 reinstatement fee will be applied for the first missed payment. If a second payment is missed, the reinstatement fee increases to $50. A third missed payment will result in a $100 reinstatement fee. Continued payment issues may result in removal from future hosting opportunities.
